I had a great interview today! It was one of those interviews where the conversation is flowing, I made him laugh several times, and I felt I was sharp, charming and professional. I made sure to smile and look interested throughout the interview trying to give the best impression! When the interview ended he smiled and seemed genuine when he said, "Great seeing you. Thanks for coming and let’s talk soon." Although the interview went well, it wasn't really what I was looking for. The product I would be selling was not my favorite and although it was a great company, I wasn't sold on the job.
After the interview, I grabbed a smoothie and walked through
It's the date where you meet up with a guy who you meet through a friend. You have done your research (google his name, get friends recommendation, and facebook/myspace stalk him to ensure his is indeed attractive, single and straight.). When we meet up, he seems great! We make each other laugh, he is intelligent, he likes my stories, conversation flows...he did play with his food a little during the meal and I think I saw him check out another girl....but hey, it's ONLY the first date! Still, I make sure to smile and seem interested throughout the night. When we finally part ways he finishes with, "Great seeing you. Thanks for coming and let’s talk soon."
I gave both my best shot! I smiled, tried to be endearing, and give the opportunities an honest attempt. But, although it went well, it’s not what I'm looking for. If he calls, I know I won't return them, just like I know I won't take the job.
In the meantime, I will continue with what I do best: Enjoy the city, spend time with dear friends, work hard at my fun job and continue to look for things that challenge and make me a better person.
